St. James Rifle and Pistol Association is finally back to normal after all of the COVID lockdowns. As we used to do in the past, we gathered again at Bella Cucina's Italian restaurant for lunch after shooting on Tuesday 2nd of May. More than 25 were in attendance.

The St. James Rifle & Pistol Association capped another great year on November 30th with their 8th Annual Holiday Party held at the Member's Club in St. James. 58 members attended and were treated to a wonderful dinner and festive evening. Nancy Adelis, Rob Jerome, Bill Boston and Curt Seaton recognized the achievements of several members. Special thanks are in order to the Range Officers at Roan's and Ant Hill who supported our shooters in 2022. Thanks to the planning committee consisting of Lynne Doctor, Rita Seaton, Lynn Loewer. Jo Ann Klug, and Nancy Adelis for organizing and managing the event.
The Pistol Annies held their first annual holiday party on Sunday December 18th 2022 at the home of Nancy Adelis. Ten women joined the event each providing wonderful appetizers and desserts. They had a holiday Santa Gift Exchange and one gal made homemade Irish cream. These gals are not only great shooters, but great chefs and great friends.
On Jun 1, 2022, the Saint James Rifle and Pistol Association held its first Range Officer Appreciation Day.
The nine range officers who could attend enjoyed a rifle shoot using a variety of Centerfire guns. These included the M1 Garand and the AR-15. After that they enjoyed lunch at San Felipe Mexican restaurant which is becoming one of our local hangouts. Yes Hangouts, the range officers finally had a chance to hangout without working. Kudos to them!.

On Thursday mornings at 10:00 a.m., the Trap / Skeet shooters engage in their weekly shoot at Roans Branch field. The range officers for these events include Bill Boston, Joe Rinaldi, Fred Truelove, and Dean Jones.
Celebrating RSO Bob Klug's 80th Birthday
After shooting, more than 25 people gathered on Tuesday December 20th at Bella Cucina's to celebrate Bob Klug's 80th birthday. A great turnout for a great guy!
NRA RANGE SAFETY OFFICER. CERTIFICATION CLASS
On July 13th and 14th the St James Rifle and Pistol Association current range officers participated in a 10-hour training program to allow them to certify as NRA Range Safety Officers.
Seven range officers attended including Bill Boston. Dean Jones, Curt Seaton, Will Dovel, Rick Johnson, Bob Klug and Mike Van Tassel. The class was instructed by Nancy Adelis and Rob Jerome both Chief Range Safety Officers.
The first day of the class included lecture small group workshop and role plays. The second day included the management and use of a variety of firearms. All students passed the certification exam and are now considered NRA Range Safety Officers.

STEEL CHALLENGE
On September 20th, eleven shooters came out on a beautiful day to try their hand at a 10 yard, 22 calibre shoot. Five shots per position x 2 positions with 10 shots total for score. Score is fastest time and most hits on the plate.
