                           Thursday's at Roans' Branch - Trap and Skeet
We always have a full crowd of shooters on Thursdays, followed of course by lunch. Two ranges run simultaneously, with Bill Boston managing the Trap side and Joe Rinaldi the skeet side.

In addition, the guys recently constructed a brand new trap house for the brand new trap machine that will now be housed at Roans' Branch. Designed by Rob Jerome, many volunteers showed up on 3 consecutive days to support the building of the new construction.

Trap and Skeet events on Thursdays at 10:00am (9:00am during the summer months) are at Roan's Branch Preserve, 635 Green Lewis Road, Bolivia, NC (map and directions). Trap costs $7 per round of 25 birds and no provision for non members. There is no admission or guest fee.  All shooters must print out and complete the Universal Waiver form before shooting.  Rain on day of, or day prior to, will result in cancellation due to road conditions to  trap field.

Directions

From the intersection of 211 and Midway take Midway (towards Wilmington) 3.9 miles to Green Lewis Rd. Turn right. Take Green Lewis Rd 3 miles to the entrance on the right.(when you enter a long sweeping left turn on Green Lewis Rd. you will know you are getting close to the entrance)

Upon entering continue on the driveway, it bears right, then left, just follow it a couple of hundred yards to the site. PLEASE DRIVE AT NO MORE THAN 10 MILES PER HOUR  …  DUST IS AN ISSUE. Please angle park on right side of the drive.

Note that Roan's Branch Preserve is primarily a hunting facility. Therefore, we should not enter the facility except for designated trap / skeet activities. Random visits are not welcome.
