Rita Seaton's Birthday!
After the Pistol Annies completed their shoot on Friday April 7th, they went to D's Restaurant in Midway Commons Mall. There they celebrated Rita Seaton's birthday. Flowers, cards and good friends helped to make a fun event. The birthday cake was indeed a target and the candles were strategically placed to add up to the total number of years of her birthday.
Nancy's Big Birthday Halloween Celebration
Close friends joined in this festive event with all the "typical" Halloween games. The Pistol Annies' and Nancy's other close friends played halloween trivia, did a small treasure hunt, and bobbed for apples. As Susan Cole stated, " looks 32, feels 22, acts 16 = 70!
The Pistol Annies First 2024 Gathering
On a mild February morning, the first 10 ladies to arrive received gloves to help with the cold weather. With many new shooters on board, Nancy took extra time to explain all aspects of range safety and handling guns safely. This was also a great review for the experienced shooters. Range Safety Officers provided one on one assistance to the ladies as needed. Everything went smoothly and overall it was a successful event. Pistol Annies ride again! Pew, pew!!

The ladies hit the road again, this time with axes, not guns! And look at those bullseyes! Hosted by Elaine Lanz and Kathy Michel, the ladies had a blast!

The Pistol Annies regularly get together to socialize in a non shooting environment. In August, Elena Krish hosted Octoberfest, serving up a feast of classic German fare.
The Pistol Annies gathered again in March for some artistic fun. The lady shooters had a great time painting a beachy picture to take home. Thanks to Louise Cole for organizing this creative event.
Pistol Annies is a group of like minded women who wish to hone their shooting skills. Founded in 2022, they shoot mostly pistol, but some also regularly shoot rifle and shotgun. The Pistol Annies shoot with the club every Wednesday BUT have their own dedicated shoot day the first Friday of the month from 10 - 12, at Ye Olde Gun Club. All ladies who are members of the STJRPA can become members of the ladies' league.
Pistol Annies gathered together this month to celebrate Mardi Gras
We dressed in purple, green and gold. Lynne D., our hostess, provided beads and tiaras and feathered eye masks for the occasion. We enjoyed homemade jambalaya, steamed rice and lots of yummy appetizers and treats from the Annies clan. Lynne also made a homemade King Cake that was so delicious! Another fabulous gathering is in the books.

Pistol Annies Ride Again
In early July 2023, the Pistol Annies resumed their ladies league after a 2 month hiatus caused by the range shift to YOGC. Eleven women participated followed by lunch at Southport Gourmet and Sushi. They were supported by the many Range Officers.
Before the shoot at YOGC, Pistol Annies members gathered to remember Susan Cole, who recently passed away. Her creative idea was the impetus to starting the women's shooting league. The ladies shot from different distances based on their experience and comfort level and Susan would have been happy to see how well the shoot went.
